Fallon’s Going Phishing: Mike Gordon to Perform on “Late Night”

This coming Friday night, February 11, Phish bassist Mike Gordon will be the featured musical guest on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The televised performance will offer phans a preview of his 18-day March tour in promotion of his newest album, Moss, released in October 2010.

Though Gordon’s tour will move from the west coast swiftly over the mid-west (only stopping for two nights in Denver) to his home turf in the northeast, Florida heads need not be disappointed—Gordon is slated to play at the Wanee Music Festival in Live Oak, Florida in mid-April.

Fortunately, anybody with a working television can catch a glimpse what Gordon will be dishing out in the next couple months.

Unfortunately they will have to sit through a painful 50 minutes of Fallon’s lame attempts at humor. But hey, Aziz Ansari and Adam Sandler will be on. Maybe they’ll make it bearable enough to catch the cool tune at the end!

About clazaga5

I am a music writer. I graduated from FIU's School of Journalism and Mass Communications in April, 2011. I've always had a passion for music. Since high school, I've been involved in a few bands and written a good number of original songs. I loved going to shows and seeing live music. So when the notion struck me to combine the two, it seemed only logical that I write about live music when and wherever I find it. This blog is what came of that notion.
