Iconic live music venue, Churchill’s Pub, was closed this past Tuesday and Wednesday for the filming of FOX’s successful crime drama, “Bones.”
It’s charmingly run-down aesthetic, location in Little Haiti and dive-bar atmosphere catches the eye of photographers and film producers similarly to Jimbo’s Shrimp Shack on Key Biscayne. You may have noticed it in the Farrelly Brothers’ hit comedy “Something About Mary.” You might have seen it in a Puma’s commercial.
But when it’s not lending itself to the silver screen, Churchill’s plays host to tons of live music—from punk to jazz and everything in between. Loads of national acts pass through on a regular basis.
One artist of note on its way is New York ska-party band, The Slackers. They’ll be there on March 13, so don’t forget swing on through for a party the likes of which could only be found at Churchill’s Pub!
