Bear Creek Festival: Full Lineup Announced – Tickets On Sale

The Bear Creek Music and Art Festival is back for another weekend of drinking and dancing on the banks of the Suwannee River. And with one of the best lineups in its history, this is going to be a party of epic proportions.

The full lineup was released last night. The huge act this year will be Medeski, Scofield, Martin and Wood. Other highlights will include The Funky Meters, Soulive, The New Mastersounds, Zach Deputy, Lettuce and Dumpstaphunk, not to mention Medeski, Martin and Wood minus Scofield and Scofield performing with Piety Street.

It is also great to see Miami groove machine, The Spam Allstars, gracing the lineup this year. Their Latin-dub style laden with horns will be right at home at this funky festie.

In addition to the killer lineup, it’s also been announced that Bear Creek pre-parties will start two days before the official weekend concerts. This makes the festival five days long.

Four and five day tickets went on sale today (3/5) along with the standard weekend passes. Plans and lineups for the pre-party days have yet to be announced, but will be available soon.

While Bear Creek is still a relatively inexpensive festival, the folks throwing it are offering a payment plan for purchasing tickets. With their new EZ Payment Plan, guests will be allowed to space their ticket purchase over five months. This is great news in a bum economy where many folks simply don’t have the money to hit up music festivals.

Make your plans and grab your passes, folks. This is going to be a doozy.

About clazaga5

I am a music writer. I graduated from FIU's School of Journalism and Mass Communications in April, 2011. I've always had a passion for music. Since high school, I've been involved in a few bands and written a good number of original songs. I loved going to shows and seeing live music. So when the notion struck me to combine the two, it seemed only logical that I write about live music when and wherever I find it. This blog is what came of that notion.
